Today registration begins for Operation Purple Camps. Operation Purple is a free summer camp for children of a deployed military service member. These camps help children deal with having a family member gone for long periods of time and coping with the emotions he or she is experiencing. If you know a child with a deployed parent (was deployed, is currently, or will be soon) pass on the word for this wonderful opportunity.
