~ Chocolate Banana Bread ~
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup oats
1 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 cup wheat flour
1/2 cup oats
(optional - I love to add oats when I'm baking.
I find in this recipe it gives the bread a nutty texture.)
1/2 cup sugar
1/3 cup cocoa powder
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3 ripe bananas
8 oz. vanilla yogurt (plain would be fine too)
1/3 cup oil
2 eggs
In a large bowl, mix together the first seven ingredients. Mash the bananas in a separate bowl. To the bananas, add the yogurt, oil, and eggs. Add the wet mixture to the dry ingredients and blend. Pour into a greased loaf pan and bake at 350 degrees for about 50 minutes.

ReplyDeleteOh, and the new site design is quite lovely! ;-)
It is, isn't it?! Thanks for all of your help with it!
ReplyDeleteThis is a must try...soon
ReplyDeleteJust an FYI - you can simply add a bit of cocoa powder to your regular banana bread recipe. You don't have to follow this one. I just thought I'd share how I made mine - I tried to make it a bit healthier.
